    Bad idea in my opinion. Gun no longer available in a hurry if you need it, possible loss of parts (guide rod and spring), handling weapon in the open. Any time your loading and unloading a semi auto you risk the possibility of a AD.

    If someone is watching the parking lot for potential victims, it's a dead give away that your stashing something in your car if your taking the time to unload and dismantle. Even a Sig.

    There have been many different posts along this line. Here is wha I do.

    I have a dac electric safe mounted in my car trunk accessible through the back seat. That way you can take your gun out of your holster, set it on the back seat, get out of the car and go in the back door and put it in the safe. No one sees what you are doing and the COM box even fits inside perfectly if you want more security. There is no way anyone can get it once locked.
