Department of Safety envelope in the P.O.

I got my permit card today. It makes 6 weeks. My friend that applied at the same time got his as well.

I went out in some tornado wreckage this morning, clearing the streets of debris and driveways of trees. I then went to school, but took off early to go back to "work."

On the way home, I stopped by the post office to find my card. I went home, got my chainsaw, axe, hatchet, and 1911.

On my first stop I was working with some boys wearing clothes sporting logos from a local private school. I was definitely conscious of the handgun and now believe I was a little overly prudent to keep my sweater from riding up.

Later I went to Walmart and bought some rounds.

I think I recall multiple similar threads and thought I'd share as well.
The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

Congrat! One thing I've learned in the short time I've CCW'd is never to get too concious about it (some people keep on putting their hand on their holster) but be aware of your surroundings at all times.

Congratulations and stay safe out there. You went to Wal-Mart - good - you can now check off that prerequisite.

That is true! I wouldn't have believed it before I carried regularly, but after a few months, while you are aware you are packing, it doesn't feel unusual, and you don't think about it all the time, but you do develop the habit of alertness.

Glad you go it! One important question we all have to ask you though... Did you get the nachos at Walmart?

    Congrats,

If no nachos then you have to go back.

    Congratulations!

I think you'll work out your carry rhythm quickly.

    Congrats.

That must be what they call Armed To The Teeth.

Do not mess with a man packing a chainsaw, axe, hatchet, and a 1911.
