Loaded or unloaded when storing in car?

Every now and then we all have to go somewhere where we are not allowed to carry. Let's say you own a Center of Mass gun safe (or something similar) and put your gun in there. Do you store it loaded and ready to immediately reholster, or do you unload it completely and then reload it when you get back to your car?

You have to make the shot when fire is smoking, people are screaming, dogs are barking, kids are crying and sirens are coming.

Depends on where I am and the law as it applies to that place.
