Vallinda Rowe on Illinois conceal carry
I like to check the Illinois for Conceal Carry site now and then and see what's cookin. There's a good audio file here of Vallinda Rowe talking good sense about ccw in Illinois on a radio show. She says there are 48 states that allow women to protect themselves, but I don't agree with that. Some of these "may issue" states amy was well not have carry laws at all.. The thing that struck me was that she still lives in Illinois. Guess that's a good thing for the cause.
It's a Quick time audio file. It takes a couple minutes to get going but good listening.

That Vallinda Rowe is awsome. Very interesting interview. She is very articulate, reasoned, and facing a very difficult struggle to get Illinois gun laws changed. More power to her. It was so sad to hear her describe how she can travel to so many states with her non resident Florida permit but when she gets back home to Illinois she has to lock up her gun in the trunk. Such a shame.
Thanks for posting.

Except that she doesn't have her facts stright. She can't carry in Michigan and a bunch of other states that doesn't accept Florida or non-resident licenses.

As long as Richard Daley, Blagojevich & their socialist buddies are there & in charge - no chance. They are a bunch of crooks (just like Daley's old man was).

I bet you there are a bunch of students at NIU in Chicago that wish they could carry today.

Amen to that!
There will have to come a point when Legislators and college/university administrators are held accountable.
Also, they will continue to have blood on their hands from incidents like the shooting at NIU today by not allowing concealed firearm carry by law abiding adults on campus. Oh, as for the argument that they have campus police and/or armed security, explain that to the parents/loved ones of the deceased students. The winds of change are blowing, unfortunately there will be more sacrifices before the changes are complete.

The NIU shootings will just empower the legislators.

Then it's time the people of Illinois started not re-electing these legislaters who can't see that the people want the ability to protect themselves.
People have voting powers, they should take back thier state.

I have been reading the NIU forum's and the Chicago tribune swamp..
and I just can't believe the way they are turning it around to make it seem all guns should go away..I am from Illinois and am really upset that the liberal's there are backing Obama and not seeing that there are more important problems then taking away gun rights.
Gun free zones are really nice if you are the bad guy and want to go have your sick type of fun...I read where Obama made a statement and called the shooter a madman...I thought he was just a sick person who was off his meds..why are not doctors that prescribe drugs for people that help control these urges not reporting them to a central database so they can't buy weapons??? I guess he just bought his weapons last week downstate...why was he not in the database as a troubled person???these are issues that need to be worked on instead of blaming guns!!!!!

If Illinois allowed CCW, less people may have died at NIU & also that robbery recently that killed 5 women (I think I have the # right). The liberal legislators up there just blame the guns. They think MORE laws will reduce crime, while people with common sense (like us here) know that LESS laws make us more safe.
