a freind of mine living near camp lejeune is gonna be getting her CHL soon. seems she is in an unfreindly neighborhood and on top of that someone walked up to her back porch the other night to try to steal her dog.
Shooting at someone trying to steal your dog at night here in Arkansas is to be expected. The key is to miss and make them think twice about trying it again.
i doubt she'd shoot someone trying to steal her dog. seems she's worried bout what else they might do if they're willing to risk going onto someones proch to steal a pooch. and im gonna send her the waly world trip in a little bit. on a side note i think shooting the would be dognapper would be more humane than leting the dog have at them. dang thing is evil.
It would be great if she could count on you to help her understand the law regarding the use of deadly force in your area... it'd be a shame if she ended up in legal trouble because she thought a gun was the only answer.
i do what i can and hope her family can help out but due to the range(several states between fort drum and camp lejuene) im not up to speed on every nuance of the law there. as soon as she told me she was getting one i recomended this site to her because theres gotta be someone in that area more up to speed on the laws there.
meanwhile im still trying to figure out why that evil critter(the dog) didn't rip the guys arm off or something.
Good for her - just tell her to be careful not to shoot the alleged dog napper. That probably wouldn't fly in court.
