What do you recommend for motorcycle carry?

Off topic but is it legal to even have the gun locked up in the glove box while visiting the school? Didn't they just fire a shop(?) teacher in Winter Haven, FL for that? I'm curious because I also work with the schools. If it's legal, I haven't heard anything about the guy challenging his dismissal. I have my CCW if that matters BTW.

On the motorcycle carry subject, I'd also be weary of hanging my gun on my HD for fear of theft or at least hacking everything up while trying to be stolen. Is it even legal in Florida to have your gun hanging on your bike exposed like that?

In Virginia you may bring a loaded pistol onto school grounds only if you have a concealed carry permit and the gun remains concealed in the interior of the car (the act of putting it into the trunk violates the law if you are on school property).

Nix on riding onto school grounds or to a school function (ie. a game at a place other than on school grounds where the game is the sole activity at the location) on a motorcycle while carrying. There is NO provision for stowing it while parked in a school parking lot. It's a real PITA.

I ride an '86 Gold Wing, and will be carrying a glock G22 OWB with Don Hume's H721 OT holster, so it carries up high. I plan on stashing it in the lockable tank box when I cannot carry inside. The box is an open area big enough to hold the gun and the toolkit that came with the bike. It is less noticeable than the trunk and bags, so it would be a secondary or tertiary target for BG's if they start going through my stuff.
