With what I read about Chicago, IL., and Cook County in general, I wouldn't want to bet on it.

This is a very dangerous tactic.
Precisely! Typical liberal solution... Tax and create bigger Gov't under the guise of trying to protect us. Then sneak it by the convincing them that it's the right thing to do.

Southern Illinois people are as gun friendly as can be. The problem lies in Chicago and Cook county. And we all know how safe the streets are up there----NOT!!!

I like how they worded point #4 - "You would be responsible for all eternity for ammunition registered to you." I guess they plan on trying to prosecute dead people with this bill too

If my boss didn't trash it we should still have it. I'll look when I get to the office.

My boss represents Kirkwood, so things have been rather hectic the past couple of weeks. I hope the letter is still on his desk.

The same bill has been introduced in TN and PA. A few other states have the same bill in draft form. CA already has it.

Crook County...er...Cook County and Chitcago...er...Chicago are the major problems in Illinois for gun owners. Downstate people positively hate that northeast section of our state. We just need to build a wall around that area, fill it with water and then dump in sharks to clean up the mess. Chicago has not had an honest election since before the Civil War. Downstate people are willing to GIVE Chicago away to anybody who will take it. Heck, we might even throw a few bucks into the pot just to sweeten the deal.
Imagine that you're an enemy soldier and you are surrounded by U.S. Army paratroopers on one side and American marines on the other side... Talk about a hopeless situation... That has got to be legal grounds for suicide!

Maybe Illinois should break up into 2 separate states. You could have N IL & S IL. With the N being the anti-gun/pro criminal wackos.

Yes, but in PA anything that is even remotely anti-gun gets shot down before it even leaves committee. It won't pass here.
