Alert the media.....
It only took me 12 years to convince her, but last night my wife finally completed her CC class. I'm proud of her.......! Now we'll have to work on actually carrying, but one step at a time.
On a side note, she said she got a real kick out of the, shall we say, diversity of the class. Her favorite was the mall ninja dressed head to toe in black tactical garb. My wife said that the overall affect was somewhat ruined by the black "crocs" he was wearing though!

Congrats to her! Im still working on my wife to carry every day.
Our CCW Class didnt have too much diversity, no mall ninjas, mostly huntin folks, and city people. I think only about half of us actually got our CCLs

Hey now. Even the mall ninja needs something in which to walk silently about and still retain that needed comfort.
But, on a serious note. Congrats. Glad it's going so well.

Congrats on winning your wife over and to her for getting her CCL.
My wife and I got our CCLs this summer. She was reluctant to carry all the time at first. I knew that if I pushed her to carry all the time she would be more resistan. So I just didn't push. Then one day she called me and asked me to bring her Glock to her at the office. Apparently, they were having issues with an unhappy, unreasonable and hot-headed customer and he was known to carry a gun. She still doesn't carry all the time and everywhere. But she does carry far more often than she used to. Plus, this gave her a reason to buy some new purses. So far, she has spent more on new purses than the Glock.
So be patient and good luck.

Congrats on your wifes completion of the course. Hopefully mine will be following suit this summer.
I bet the instructors see some interesting people in that class. I vaguely recall that my class was basically 40 yr old white men, no minorities, only one woman. No mall ninjas.
The female in our class was pretty interesting ... if I recall she came in with a derringer or some small purse gun that would have prevented her from passing the 'range test' - so she had to borrow the instructors Glock in order to score the required 'hits' to get her piece of paper.

How cool is that?!! My wife will never get her permit. She admits to doubts of taking a life if she had to, and she is a rape surviver, go figure..anyway, CONGRATS!

congrats, but just make sure that if she does carry... she's willing to use it.

Given the appropriate circumstances, that's not a problem!
......and she's a better shot than me!

Congrats...
I know your feelings...my wife made her decision to get her permit in only 32 years...took another 2 years to decide to get her own weapon...another year to really start taking a weapon with her on a regular basis...
As she finally found a gun she liked (not my choice), and a method of carry (not a holster)...she now almost always takes her gun with her.
Yep, it's one step at a time!

Congrats to you and your wife...it's nice to have backup... ;)
My wife let her permit lapse...but she did have it for several years...and wants it back...just not enough to actually make the effort I guess...
