Sense when did guns follow trendy colors. Only colors I have ever seen are brown, black, white, tan, and clean metal. If I see someone with a gun that color I will slap them and take it away so that I may remove the colors and restore it to its proper shape.

I've never seen a real gun that I would honestly mistake for fake, no matter what color it is.

Not to say someone else couldn't make the mistake, but wouldn't it be better to instead train people to recognize real guns by their heft, their action, the fact that it has bullets in it, etc? I suppose it's easier to start a scare about crusty-the-clown colored real guns.

They just did this , but a comment that I herd from the people on the Interview, was most of the customers sending their guns to have them painted where POLICE for there wifes g-friends so they would go shooting with them. then next comment was how the police worried this was a bad thing and scared them not sure if a toy or not.

The teacher's comments don't surprise me.

The LOE's make me wonder about their Use-of-Force Directive.

The typical, "The amount of force used should be proportional to the threat and limited to the least amount required to accomplish legitimate police action" is a source of all kinds of law suits, IA lash-up, etc.

Attention to Use-of-Force by the media and the second guessing about LEO's actions in the brightly lit court room appears to be on the rise leading to the impression that LEOs are out of control.

Now, maybe if we can encourage CNN to get on the band wagon that "It ain't so easy to tell if the BG had a gun" well....

This actually reminds me of the first time I told my GF I had guns. I showed her my Sig P229. "OMG, that looks like the kind of gun that kills people!!!". I go online and show her a pink glock, and pink AR-15. "What about these?" I asked. "Well, they look a little better. Oh wait...they are scary too!" After months and months of reading the news and sharing stories with her...now she wants a CCW.
