My own dear wife, though she can cut the heart out of the Ace of Spades at 20 feet with my .45 and though she went through the concealed class with me, chooses not to go after her concealed license.

Nothing better than a 'second' gun in the car...your spouse is the best back up you can have...

She didn't give me the chance to take her to Wally World first. She went to Target the next day and came home explaining how much safer she felt by herself and how comfortable the M&P felt at the 2:30 position.

Very nice. My wife got hers about a month ago, and she is getting more and more comfortable carrying every day. She currently carries a SP101 snubbie in .357 that just got Trijicon night sights put on this morning.

It is comforting knowing that she can protect herself if necessary, and is a dedicated backup when we are together.

You might want to think about getting your wife signed up for some training courses. Mine is signed up to take Essentials of the Defensive Snub Revolver from Michael DeBethencourt at the S&W academy at the end of March. He also offers a Mastering The Defensive Snub Revolver; and also Firearm Disarming, Retention & Recovery. She will be taking those courses as well in time so that she is well prepared to defend herself if necessary.
