Temporary CCW storage in Laredo, Tx

    Hi folks,

Just wondered if any visitors through/residents of Laredo know a good commercial location to store a CCW for a day ? I'm wondering if the airport has lockers on the non-air side, or there are lockers at the bus depot ?

I'd rather not spend $45 to use a Motel6 room safe for a day...

    Cheers,

    SDS

Just my opinion but he is probably going to be going into mexico, and would be travelling to laredo then entering Mexico from laredo, Interesting question, Never really thought about that myself. Wonder if you contacted a local gunshop if they would hold your weapon for you for a reasonable fee, of if thats even legal.

    Correct.

I suspect a gunstore would 'clean' my firearm for me, to be picked up later, or the following day, for a small fee. That would tie me to the gunstore hours though which I'd like to avoid.

In San Antonio there are lockers at the police station, I wonder if the laredo police station has something similar and if you would be allowed to use them for that reason. The lockers in S.A. are there for CHL persons who are visiting secured areas of the police station. (I always leave my firearm in my car when I go to the police station, figure the risk of covering 3 blocks is worth it compared to the hassle I could have inside the station. But back on topic, call up the Laredo Police Department and ask them if they have lockers, Greyhound has the no guns signs posted, Or did a few years back, not sure if they have 30.06 warnings, I would still not want to store my handgun in a bus station. Best of luck, let me know what you end up doing.

There's gotta be some trustworthy, established member of this forum that has room in his safe for this one gun for a day! I'd be happy to store it for you if you were coming through Phoenix!

    Cool

You may also want to consider the Webb County Sheriff's Office.
