Home is about the only place I DO carry. I can't carry to/from work as it is a campus and no guns allowed. When I get home, the first thing I do is put on the 1911. For mowing grass and yard work, usually will pocket the makarov. I do have a hard time carrying while changing oil in the vehicles. I tried - not cool.

I don't know if this belongs here, it is off the current topic, but there was a thread earlier regarding email solicitation from American Federation of Police & Concerned Citizens. Don' know where it went.?? The emails targeted FL residents. They bought your CW license info from the state. Below is the response I received to an inquiry about this situation. If you're interested.
"The offer is totally legitimate. AFP&CC has been a non-profit public charity since 1966. We obtain the names of CW holders by purchasing them from the State of Florida, as we have for nearly a decade. The state has even reviewed our mail solicitation and advised us that it is legal. The shield is an identification shield only and does not provide or imply any police powers and authority."

In Charlotte, NC the Police Department is considering suggesting a law against open carry. Secondly, they are raising the rates on Alarm responses problem or not. The writing is on the wall friends they want up defenseless. What do we do, and if you have to shoot and it is justifiable they try to crucify. I don't understand whats going on. Anyway I am always armed in the house.

Carry No But,
Do not actually carry at home but, something is always in reaching distance. Yes, that includes in the bathroom!
