Update to: Hunter Unintentionally Fired Into My Home

I finally know the outcome of the incident I reported back in January. http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulle...o-my-home.html

He did plead to whatever the final charge was. I don't know the specific charge as we're getting this second hand from the land owner. The charge was not as severe as it could have been. One of the reasons for the reduction was mine and my wife's input to the game wardens. He was given a "substantial" fine and loses his hunting license for one year. He also paid for the damages and he included a bit extra to cover our driving and inconvenience in getting things fixed. Truth be told, I only had to drive into town for the screen repair. The window supplier delivered it to the house.

I offered to appear in court and speak on his behalf, but he never told me when the hearing was scheduled. Guess we can close that chapter and move on now.

Thanks for all your comments and suggestions.

thanks for the conclusion. Always nice to put a period at the end of a story.

Glad you were reimbursed and guy was given a good slap. Sounds like the system worked.

Does sound like it worked out.

What do you know, the "system" works
