Just remember to jump real high so you don't hit that silly Canada, they don't like guns.

In NY you are not allowed to own a pistol until you acquire your permit. So the idea of someone buying a pistol for the first time, walking around Wal-Mart with it, without ever having fired it (buying ammo) seems to me a little dangerous. I have had a restricted permit since 1990 (hunting and target shooting), and am taking training courses, and am putting in weekly range time until I feel I'm qualified to use a firearm in self defense. I will then approach the county judge, armed with my newly acquired certificates and clean record asking him to remove the restrictions and allow me to carry concealed legally.

Am I missing something about the "Wal-Mart experience"?
yes tony, in the free state of Texas most of us have owned and shot guns from when we were very young and( WE DONT NEED NO STINKING PERMIT) ha,ha, really we can buy and own guns as long as we dont have a bad criminal record.buying a new gun for a wally walk is just a celebration of getting a CHL we already know how to operate it just fine.

aw heck, don't worry about the wally world trip, its just a little "fun" thing we suggest everyone do to become one with the process of carrying in public....a celebration

besides, you don't need to carry, Bloomberg, Schumer and Hillary are protecting you...right? (just joking, couldn't resist)

Here in Arizona, you'd BETTER carry in WalMart. Looks like shopping in Tijuana with wider aisles.

    Wal-Mart thing

Having had a CCW permit in Kalifornia for over 25yrs,I consider myself very fortunate. I don't have it as bad as some other states. After reading these posts I see it could be worse.Carry in Wal-Mart,no big deal, heck I even carry when I go to church. Only the man upstairs and I know about that. I know that I don't live in a free state, but my wife has not yet retired so we have a couple more years before we move to Az.
