Sorry if this has been up lately but I could not find anything..
But is there any other places that has the gun laws and freedom like the US have?
Nowhere in my travels over the last 40 years.

The only nations that come to mind are nations like New Zealand, Switzerland, Mexico, Canada, Israel, Finland and I think Norway. These nations don't have a "2nd Amendment" but the gun culture is pretty high in a lot of these nations. Many civilians own firearms for various reasons. Gun ownership in these nations are a lot like a bad day in Cali.

I was thinking the same thing Glock27..I always thought Canada was not a gun friendly country..And as to Norway Pro2A,even the Police is unarmed on daily duty and for the civilians you can have one or two handguns for IPSC if you have a regular training and a certain amount of activity..
In Canada you have to have a license to buy a gun and they have restriction on types of guns. It is easier to get on gun license in New Brunswick or Alberta, but almost impossible to get one in Toronto

Israel may come close. I believe anyone who has been in the military can carry - and everyone serves in the military for 2 years after high school and before college. They also require school field trips to have at least one adult with a long rifle for protection.
I once was walking on Ben Yahudah street in Jerusalem and a car backfired. All of the sudden handguns appeared from everywhere. The little grandmother in front of me pulled out a 1911 that seemed bigger than she was. Everyone took a second and realized the backfire for what it was, put their guns away and kept on shopping!

here's a simple answer:
No - You live in the greatest nation on the planet, because NO nation aside from ours has a more clearly defined right to keep and bear arms.

US Navy veteran, and in the time I was in, I went around the world twice. I have been to 26 different countries. There is nowhere else in the world like this country. Not even close. Our freedoms and our rights are either the envy or the scourge of the other countries in the world.
We are either loved or hated. That should tell you something right there.
Switzerland is probably your best bet. They allow every single one of their citizens to own a fully-automatic rifle.
And no, it's not like "a bad day in Cali" there. Been there many, many times in the past for holiday. Good skiing in Davos.
From what I understand, Italy and the Czech Republic both allow citizens to carry, but it's rather restricted (or if you're from a crappy state, maybe less restricted).
There are also some South American countries that have carry for weapons, but I'm not sure how you get the permit there.
To my knowledge no other country has an amendment in their Constitution expressing an inalienable right to own arms.
