New fan of pocket carry for my off-hand BUG.

I like the quickness of the draw, and having a gun accessible to either hand.

Pocket carry? Lets see, in one back pocket I carry my wallet and in the other a handkerchief. In my front pockets I carry keys and a cigarette lighter and change and a pocket knife and often my cell phone. Just where in the heck am I going to carry a pocket pistol? I don't carry my cell phone on a clip because it irritates my skin. I have tried at least a half dozen such clips and holsters and never found one I like.

And that's pretty "naked" for me. This assumes it's daylight and I don't have a small flashlight and/or a small pocket "toolkit.

Normally I wear cargo pants or shorts so I can carry all those things and I still rarely pocket carry a gun. Have I? Yes and I sometimes still do.

But with my Kahr PM in an IWB I can forget it's there. No sweat, no hassle, no "feel" and no taking up space where other things are more desirable.

The only advantage I can see in pocket carry is that if it looks look like things could become dicey you can casually have your hand in the pocket comfortable gripping your gun.

Never had that happen yet, but everyday I'm glad I don't have more things jammed in one pocket just so I cann carry a gun in the other.

My normal load out when I pocket carry is

Left front pocket, money clip and change....
Right Front pocket, S&W or Kel Tec in pocket holster
Left rear pocket, Wallet and knife vertical with a clip on it
    Right rear pocket, check book

On repelling clip, right side 4 oclock belt loop, keys
On clip on left 10 oclock, cell phone, pivoting and removable
On belt left 8 oclock , Gerber tool kit.

Not perfect for everyone, but works well for me.

    pocket carry

I like the convenience of IWB at 4:00. I can present the weapon in about 1/2 second. It's too hard to get a pocket carry weapon out even if you keep your hand on it while it's in your pocket.

Pocket carry is my favorite way to conceal a handgun because of my middle age spread. Tried all the other modes but they were either awkward or too uncomfortable to carry all day.

P-3AT in Desantis holster, breast pocket of jacket. Now its starting to warm up and I won't be using the jacket, so with my company uniform, not sure what I'll do.

Occasionally carry a SW 442 with CT LG405 laser grips in a Mika's pocket holster. I also have a Desantis Nemesis. It is VERY comfortable.

Pocket carry is great always carry option and a very good second/BUG carry solution. I use it more than other solutions.

I'm one of the guys that always pocket carrys as either my primary or BUG while on duty. I carry a S&W 442, Beretta Tomcat, KAHR PM45, and a NAA Mini in one of my own pocket holsters.
