I guess it is relative. Maybe as soon as this afternoon those other locations will have to change their tune.

I am glad that despite the lousy system, you are still working on getting a carry permit.

I never even owned a handgun in NY because if you can't carry it, what's the point. I would rather have a long gun for home defense.

My new state is much more gun friendly.

Is there anything keeping you in NY? You could move to a red state. The weather's better too.
That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about a hundred and nine, ninety five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?

I've had a restricted permit for 10 years. I hunt deer and target shoot with my S&W .357 mag revolver. And I liked playing around with my Jennings J-22 (until I discovered how dangerous it could be). When my Ruger comes in, I'm going to takethe Jennings to the Sheriff's department and let them destroy it.

But also, having had a permit for 10 years with no issues allows me to convince the judge to take the restrictions off my permit and allow concealed carry.

Since the bleeding heart that used to be the senior judge retired, I think the new judge might be a little more reasonable. The old guy wouldn't even issue permits for off duty LEOs.

    Patience is a virtue.

If we can get rid of NYC and Albany, we've got a good chance for common sense to rule.

When I figure out what Article 78 is, sure.

Right now, I have 3 more years before I can start waiving into other States without taking the bar exams, and I'll worry about it then.

Till I take the NY Bar, pass & get sworn in to practice, it is all greek to me.

Connecticut maybe a blue state pest hole, but at least our permit system isn't as screwed up as NY's.

Not that bad, You can carry consealed to and from the range, there is nothing in the law that says you must go directly to the range or home from the range. If you happen to belong to a 24 hour range who to say that at 3.00 is the moring you decide to head to the range. Oh by the way the range kepts sets of ear and eye protection hanging up just in case you forgot yours. If you happen to be headed to the range and get stopped by LEO and asked "If you are heading to the range where is your eye and ear protection?" Always reply honestly. "At the range!"

For the money part or the lawyer-ing part? Kidding........the problem I got is that in NY(C), you can have a gun on your person to protect the money but not your life..........very sadthat no one has argued this in court. The Sullivan Act has much to do with what's going on with todays gun laws in NY. Irish (cops) only, I don't want the rest of them to have guns.........more or less.
