million gun march
what do you think the government would do if we had a march on the mall in DC. Call it the million gun march everyone waking down the street packing some heat. would they listen then or would they call in the national guard? Why dont we have large gun rallys in sacramento, ca, new york, DC, etc. We need to let these commie pigs like john kerry, the clintons, fienstien that we mean business with our right to keep and bear arms that has been infringed upon. we need to stand and be heard in mass not one at a time. we need to send a strong message to washington and other anti gun places. that they are infringing on our rights. the nra cant do it for us we need to do it for our selfs. i served my country in battle and men are fighting in iraq to preserve those rights. Is the sacrifice of the men who fought in the revolutionary war in vain. Was there blood spilled for nothing. The nation of islam had there million man march, the women had the million mom march, now is the time for the million gun march!

possession of guns (especially extra evil handguns) is verboten in our nation's capital.
Now what might work is a Million Gun Owner's March where we all show up wearing empty holsters and with empty slings over our sholders ... letting them know that "somewhere" guns exist to fill those holsters and slings.

does it have to be a march? i'm fat, and my feet dont like holding up my immense body for long periods. how about we just do a driveby?
October 14th, 2005 05:45 PM
yep -- a concealed driveby.
We'll annouce that we did it, one million of us, and no one knew the difference.
Kind of like all the other "million mom" "million man" and "million moron" marches.

Blue Lion -- reread James Bond due to your post. I'm not going to psychoanalyze him, as you have, but I can agree that the tone regarding the socialist elitists was a bit strident.
Thank you both for your service.

My Serious "Take" On This Thread Topic
Seriously...An armed Gun March on Washington, DC ~ It will never happen. The reason that it won't happen is that nearly every single "Carry Person" and Legal Gun Owner/ Hunter Sports Shooter in the United States is a Law Abiding Citizen.
SO naturally....they/us would want oppressive gun restrictions fought in the courtroom & the Supreme Court Of The United States.
The vast majority of Firearms Owners would likely not ever intentionally violate the gun laws just to make a statement.
It would not really accomplish much because the media would spin it as it being a huge mob of gun crazy criminals all breaking & violating the law. They would "Class It" as a Mutiny and a Crazed Revolt.
The negative press would be incredible and the final outcome would be that the entire effort would be enormously counterproductive.
Plus..."what if" the National Guard was justifiably called in.
That's not a situation that I personally would enjoy placing myself into the middle of. I (for sure) would not relish a possible confrontation or a situation "going out of control" with fellow Great Americans at odds with each other.
Though it is fun thinking about a Million Gun type event to equal a Million Mom March....I would not ever break the law to participate in it.
Actually, we are SLOWLY but surely winning the fight against unreasonable restrictive firearms regulations on the State and National level.
The recent firearms confiscation's in Louisiana just created a situation that will be heard in the High Courts & THAT will likely rule in our favor also.
Why would we screw that up & swing the pendulum back in the other direction by getting all spazzy at this particular point in time?
We are winning the fight legally so there is not much need to travel down an illegal pathway.
Just my personal serious opinion.

I am going to assume that you are a young feller showing the exuberance so typical of your age and believing with passion for a cause. It is either that or you are an infiltrator from whatever anti-gun group there is out there looking for a reaction from Gun Nuts so you can boast to your friends and show how dangerous we are and how we should be taken to some forsaken concentration camp and left there to rot.
But let me think you are the first case. Revolutions are not easy or cheap or painless. They can be bloody affairs in which innocents and participants can lose life and loved ones. They must be avoided at almost all costs.
Gun Owners in the USA have done a miracle. 20 years ago we were akin the SS and the KGB. We were villified, called any name in the book and they were strangling our rights. What we have done in that time is simply amazing. We own the bullet box and we used the soap box and the ballot box to turn the tide. Not simply stop it, we turned it. When once we were the most hated group of individuals, we are now the most feared lobby. When the whole world is slowly phasing away gun rights from their citizens, we have raised it for ours. 20 years ago, we could not have our opinion heard anywhere and now they cannot open their mouths and spew their lies without us shouting back with the truth. When they tried to vote away our rights, we voted out their minnions. And trust me, they do not want us to open their bullet box 'cause we have more ammo than they do and taking up arms would invalidate their whole argument.
Are we done? Nope, still ways to go. I think we will finish and be victorious but I also know it is not gonna happen in the the next commercial break. But we will carry on.
And in case you are an infiltrator all along, allow me to say that while you are doing all you can to restric my rights, I am doing all possible to guarantee yours.
And that is what makes us different from tyhe other side.
You have to make the shot when fire is smoking, people are screaming, dogs are barking, kids are crying and sirens are coming.
Ego will kill you. Leave it at home.

I want to see evidence of us getting our 2A rights back because I sure don't see it. It's gotten continually worse since I've been born. There's been no serious effort whatsoever on a large scale to restore my rights or anyone else's. There's a few people who care who are doing good work and fighting the tide, but the fact is generations ago, long before I was ever born, the 2A was already dead.
But pulling some stunt like a bunch of vegetarians who march around naked is just... it's just not going to change anything.
