Maiden Voyage
Just got back from my maiden voyage with my CCW...
I didn't do the WalMart thing (I know, sacrilege!!) but I did go to Bass Pro Shop and Cracker Barrell. Found myself not really worrying much about the gun other than it tends to tilt back in the holster some. I think changing the position of the clips on the back side of the MTAC will solve that problem.
I did find myself looking for any sign that either place is not gun friendly. Is this normal?
My wife is upset though... Both of our paperwork were sent out on the same day, and hers isn't back yet
Oh happy day for me.
Can't explain just how happy I am.

Not only normal but a requirement now a days!! You don't want to end up in trouble for carrying where prohibited!!

My first foray out with my CCW wasn't to Wally World either, so don't feel bad
I did make the trip eventually.
Gotta be done.

Oh NO U DIDNT....its like when your out to eat and they bring your order but still waiting on the others' food to arrive. You cant start eating your food, and you cant carry until she gets hers. Ok, J/K..i would have done it too....
Luckily, mine and hubbies chl arrived same day, so we didnt have to go through that. Great job on the Maiden Voyage..and congrats....

Your maiden voyage was just the way you want it---without incident.

Congratulations on your first carry. After a while, you won't even be aware that you have it. Just stay safe, and hope that you never have to use it... but will be prepared if needed.

Someone's in the doghouse...but that's ok. The doghouse in "MANS WORLD" is gun friendly.
It's kinda like finding your allergic to nuts. From that point on all the places you go and things you eat you start looking for the "nuts". Except in our case it's anti-gun "nuts".
Like spider man said" With great power comes great responsibility." We are not super hero's, but we do have a greater responsibility.
Have fun, be safe and thanks for adding 1 and soon 2 more to our numbers. Even if 1 out of 100 of us was armed...that would give most BG's a bad feeling.

Sadly, I cannot always be armed because of where I work (on a military installation)... But when I am not on it...
According to my wife, hers should have come in first because she is 'nicer' than I am.
I'll make it to WalMart, most likely when my wifes permit gets here.

Welcome to "the club". I went thru a fanny pack and 3 OWB rigs before I found the "right one" for me. Now I have an OWB and a pocket holster (AMT) that work in just about any situation.
You're smart to look for signs, and smarter to know the law as it pertains to your state.....but as was said, "The sheeple don't notice" so if you make an honest mistake, don't panic.....chances are, no one will know!
Carry smart, act safe.

Congrats on permit. I never use to look for signs until I received my CFP. Now I look to see if they are there. I guess just part of the responsibility of having a CFP.
