    Question RE CA Carry Exception

This is offered as an exception to carrying "a firearm capable of being concealed upon ones person". But the next line says that carrying a loaded firearm in what basically amounts to a city is illegal. What exactly does this passage mean and is it okay for me to carry concealed and loaded while hunting and fishing if I am in an unincorporated area?

"Licensed hunters or fishermen while engaged in hunting or fishing, or while going to or returning from such hunting or fishing expeditions."

You should really contact a local criminal attorney with your question. A lot of people will offer opinions on California law and the laws of their state. However, a local attorney will know how the local judges apply the law in your area. You would think that the law is the law and it is applied the same, but the reality is that just isn't the way it is applied. You could also ask a detailed question of your state attorney general's office and have that letter available for your defense. You also haven't provided enough of a cite for anyone to work with.

Sage advice, HOWEVER!! I've lived here all my life and I'm about 99.99% certain that you are never allowed to carry concealed w/out a permit unless you are LEO.
