My wife hates Wally World too, will Target qualify? They have Nachos but no ammo.

Congrats. Lowes doesn't carry Ammo so you better go to a big store that does for the experience of buying ammo in a store that isn't a "Gun Store".
If you have one, Joes (formaly known as G.I. Joes) would be good. Big 5 in some places sell ammo. Since Wal-Mart is changing Ammo record keeping Policies We need other large department stores that sell ammo to visit.

pipesmoker, congratulations. Where do you practice in the Richmond area? BTW I like Lowes and WalMart. I'm lucky enough to have both as well as Home Depot all within a half mile of each other here in Stafford Virginia.

I'm in Charlottesville and my permit is in the mail. Should have it by Friday. I have the same gun, SW9VE, but a Serpa holster. I hope I get to take my Walmart trip this weekend.
