I am consistently on record and will continue to be on record as opposing concealed carry.

Tally, some are, some aren't. In TX they have to have a valid 30.06 sign...not sure what hospital Ivan went to.

Ivan, glad everything is alright with your grandkid.
There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil.

    Hospitals in KY and WV

Hospitals in Kentucky and West Virginia are not on the ban list, but most if not all are posted off limits.

Can't bring a firearm into a hospital (statue actually states upon the grounds) providing mental health services. Since almost all hospitals provide mental health services probably best to assume carrying is prohibited.

I was carrying during a motorcycle accident in 2003, before the latest revision to TX law requiring hospitals to post the 30.06 sign like everyone else. I was on the stretcher at the accident scene, & handed the LEO my DL & CHL. He had me hand him the pistol & it was waiting for me in the police property room the next day. One odd thing; they didn't & claim they won't return the ammunition.

What! So they just steal it and use it themselves, or store it for a century? What the.....or maybe it's just some weird policy where they don't want you reloading right there inside a police station.

Glad he is ok. Hospitals are banned here too, but are private so they are the same as any other business that posts no firearms allowed. That is, no legal ramifications if made.
It is utterly illogical to believe that passing laws to reduce gun violence will be successful when those who are commiting the gun violence do not obey the law.

    Glad the grandson is okay!

Get yourself a Center of Mass Gun Safe for the car. I bought two that are keyed the same so I could have one in each vehicle. Not a true "safe" but a little bit of deterant to the smash and grab.
