Better late than never, finally applied
Sandy and I finally applied for out CCW permits this morning. We are both in our mid fifties and never had had a problem, but things just aren't the same anymore.
I've been carrying at home, at work and in my truck for quite some time (all legal here), but now I won't have to remember to disarm myself to walk over to the 7-11 for a snack.
Today was our 35th wedding anniversary, so we took the day off and took our applications in, and then went shopping for a holster for me. I bought a Bianchi IWB for my 1911 and have been trying it out all afternoon. Now I know why CCW holders all have a box full of holsters. This one may or may not work.
I carry a KelTec P3AT at work, but hope to carry my 1911 from now on, although it looks like I may have to carry a j-frame in the summer (I'm 5'7", 140 lbs.)
