    Oregon CCW wait time

I currently have a Non-resident Nevada ccw and am looking into getting a resident Oregon ccw. I am schedualing a fingerprint appointment when I'm home on leave next month, but was just wondeing how long the wait time is? My Nevada wait time was 10 weeks.

P.S. I did do a search and didnt find anything, so if it has been posted please direct me and forgive me for the bad post.

    Thanks, Jack

About 1 month depending on the county. Some counties will issue them very quickly, others like to stretch it to the last day before the deadline mandated by law.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

Eugene was just under a month.
It is utterly illogical to believe that passing laws to reduce gun violence will be successful when those who are commiting the gun violence do not obey the law.

I think "Gomer" has gotten his issue resolved by now.

Different county's handle it differently, usually the longest wait time is the "appointment."

People take the training course, as required by state law, then don't realize they still have to wait for months to even submit an application.

Current time for Multnomah county is six weeks once you submit your application.

Oregon will only issue to residents or bordering states; some counties will only issue to Washington non-residence depending on the sheriff - the sheriff issues licenses.

    yeah it depends.

in Umatilla county the real wait was the appointment to get finger printed and backgrounded at the Sheriff. I think my appointment was around 2 months out.

then I got my permit less than a week after.

    go figure.
    I carry because zombies.
