Mission: wally world walk - complete
Way back two years ago when i decided to even think about getting a concealed permit I was googling and found the walmart tactical map.
I work midnights at walmart and found this halarious. After work, in my wally world blue shirt I picked up my permit, bought a new gun to celebrate the fact and returned to do some "window shopping" just because I recalled seeing the wally world tactical map.
As an employee I cannot carry while working, but did enjoy being a customer and carrying in the store, was a great feeling.
Been carrying a coupel weeks now and found this forum again while searching for handguns so had to register and share my experience.
Another cute one was carrying during a township council meeting, I am active on the Housing Commission under HUD for low income housing and frequent the city meetings as well. I was invited for a beer afterwards by a long time friend who is on the township's council and had to tell him to give me a minute to disarm. He presumed I was joking and followed me to me car. He was in disbelief you could even carry there so I was able to share the wealth of knowledge I have learned mainly from the internet and my cpl class regarding when and when and what you can carry.
I don't advertise the fact I carry, but I thouroughly enjoy spreading the laws regarding it and the reasons behind why I and many others carry.

City meetings can become heated and violent. You probably heard about the meeting in Kirkwood, MO, a few months back where 5 were killed.

Just be careful who you let know. You can never undo it once they know. And if a BG knows you carry, you may be the first target. That's what happened to two policemen in the Kirkwood shooting.
Good for you for studying and knowing where you can legally carry, and then doing it.

Congrats on the Wally Walk. Unique perspective to be an employee...
It really is a challenge to know who to tell. You want to spread the positive word but not expose yourself. I myself am active in local government and elected last year. It is a a very difficult line to walk. I am sure I will make some mistakes at some point. Just want to protect myself and my family.
Facts are negotiable, perceptions are not.

Welcome from GA
The situation will NEVER BE THE WAY YOU WANT, it WILL BE THE WAY IT IS. You must be FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO ADAPT and just "DEAL WITH IT".
