I've been around too many idiots and fools to regard anyone messing with anything on my belt without first making sure I knew what was happening as being anything but the most abysmal bad manners, especially my knives and firearms.

Just too many idiots around. Even people I thought had good sense have turned out to be stupid.

The other day I bought another mag for my P2000 and the floor plate was sort slick like teflon. The floorplates on my other mags are a softer rubber which could indeed hang up a shirt. This new mag has become my #1 carry mag. Shirts just slid right off of it.

OC'ed? Not in this situation...why? I have had friends (a very few) reach and touch my side...one was a cop, another was a pastor. They didn't know if I WAS carrying, but wondered...not much was made of it. I certainly was not upset, not did I even think of it being a problem.
It all depends on the situation...if my wife taps my side to see if I'm CCW, should I react...grab her hand and OC her face? I should if I want to sleep on the couch for a year or two. The same goes with a few friends and associates.
It's a situational thing in IMHO.

As you said, he most likely would never have noticed if he had not been a CHL type too. However, something like this will cause us to evaluate our procedures and practices...

    It was definatley improper.
Touching someones gun without an invite is rude and downright bad manners.

Not to mention it could be dangerous.

Well it surprised me a bit that he noticed it, but nothing too alarming. Apparently my shirt got hung up on it, and made it noticeable.

Needless to say after that the discussion went to concealed carry, and the like. He also has his CHL for Texas, which he proceeded to pull out of his wallet and show me. Then we talked about hunting, and other various things. That is the first time that someone who didn't already know that I carried has made me. At least that I know of.

I doubt that if he wasn't a permit holder that he would have even noticed that I was carrying. But then again, it really doesn't matter much since I know him and found out that he also has gotten his permit recently.
I don't let people get that close to touch me. That's battery. Business client or not, I would have gotten defensive.

Apparently you never stand in line at the grocery store, fast food restaurant, ammo counter or even have a job you go to daily. Seriously you never let anyone get within 3 ft of you without taking a defensive posture? Must be quite interesting going through a full days activity trying to keep that distance.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

You may be correct...I believe that two of those women may have been girlfriends before I married...

Gotta' go...I want to see how much my insurance policies are worth...

LOL...boy it would be fun to follow around (at a distance of course) and watch the activities though...

I guess he works as a drill instructor/sergeant who constantly swings his arm and attacks anyone in that span. lol
