Finally Made the Wally World carry !!!

Got my permit last week and didn't want a full week to pass before I officially started carrying, so I made my way to my area wallyworld. The sad thing is there is no snackbar anymore for the nachos.

I purchased some ammo and checked out what was in stock and looked at the clothing to see if they had any cover clothing I liked and picked up a few other items and left.

It was amazing how aware I was of what all was happening around me and in my mind at first I was having those thoughts that someone was making me and I was being watched. After a few minutes though, those feelings evaporated and I was comfortable with the surroundings.

I wore some cargo shorts with and IWB holster, tucked in T-shirt and a button up sport shirt untucked for my cover shirt and my sandals !! It was very hot here yesterday so I looked like most other people around trying to deal with the heat.

I packed my full size 1911 and had it cocked and locked. I wanted to carry my first time with my favorite piece.

As it gets even warmer and if I have to wear tighter clothes for various reasons I may have to go to a smaller gun. that will be another issue for later.

anyway, my first one is in the books and all went well and I hope to keep it that way !!!!

Your level of confidence and easiness will grow the more you carry.

Good luck. It will come to the point where you're (almost) not even aware of the carry. It will just be so natural.

You mean they're supposed to be concealed? No wonder people were looking at me strangely.

I just hate those WAL-MARTS that have Micky D's instead of just regular snack bars.

Congrats. Welcome to the club! Don't feel bad, the snack bars are becoming somewhat rare around here as well.

Congrads on the Wally Walkthrough. Is it possibe Wally World is phasing out the snack bars because they know of this 'initiation ritual'?

I think I still have about three months to wait, at least. DPS is back logged big time. My intructor told me four months but everything I read on the TXCHL forum said it could be as long a six months.
