Just letting people know about the turnaround time right now in FL if they are waiting on their permit. I even overnighted my money and forums. I was beginning to think it was not going to come but it did.

Congratulations! I just got my nonresident Nevada yesterday. I am thinking about a Florida CCW. While the wait isn't critical, thanks for the information.

Congrats...on the new permit! I'm really surprised that it took so long.

Seems as though this is a tradition, like tossing your caps at graduation. Take you CCW, and take a walk at Wal-Mart and buy nachos.

There was a thread on this a while back:

Congrats on your permit. When I got mine it took almost 90 days. I called around 60 days in and they said that everything was approved but the FBI was holding things up with my fingerprints. I didn't do it electronically and had to resubmit them.

Oh, I still never did the Walmart/nacho thing yet. Gotta give that a shot.

It took me 90 plus days to get my non resident Fl. Permit. They had to send my finger print card back, the address of the agency that did the prints was not written in, it was just a PO Box. I had to put the physical address in and send it back. I seemed like it took 2 years though. When you are waiting for something to come it, it just seems to take forever.

Congratulations on your CCW! I am thinking about a Florida CCW. I seldom get out that way, but I think it's important to have.

Mine took about three weeks to come back. I had to do ink based prints, but I got it right quick.
One more step and it's on!

wally world may be considered a right of passage but to really make it interesting try to find something made in the usa to purchase while you're there.

My GFL took 70 days, and that was "normal" in Metro Atlanta (some had to wait several more months) and GA is a shall issue state to but some of these probate judges have their own agenda so they try to wait people out and hope they show no interest in following up.
