Congrats on the permit. I submitted mine in the beginning of Apr. while I was back in FL on leave. Sucks that it is taking that long. Guess I won't be getting mine towards the end of June.

Congratulations on the permit !!!
I wish Louisiana was like Florida where I could carry to any restaurant concealed without having to find out if they serve alchohol. We can't carry concealed in an establishment that allows consumption on the premises.

mine (about 18 months old) from Florida took less than 60 days and that included a hiccup on the fingerprints. Something about they had to be less than 30 days old for electronic or they get deleted if the paperwork hardcopy doesn't arrive.
Who knows, maybe they expedited me the second time around. But considering the hiccup, I thought 60 days was pretty good for THE GOVERNMENT.
And welcome to the fold.

Thanks for getting the permit...the more of us who excercise the right, the harder it will be to take away.
I got my permit 1-1/2 weeks ago in Florida...took 50 days. Now, what's this about Walmart? Am I missing out on a right of passage here?

Yup the right of passage that you talk of is a forum tradition so to say. If you read about others getting their permits all of them are encouraged to do the traditional wal-mart walk and get some nacho's.
