It is utterly illogical to believe that passing laws to reduce gun violence will be successful when those who are commiting the gun violence do not obey the law.

I am still trying to find where it is determined that Open Carry is a God given right that is protected by the constitution but concealed carry is not.
To me that sign is very sensible to me and says mind your own business, be careful and don't be trying to play John Wayne.

The Jeffco signs, like the example in this thread, were recently changed from "firearms prohibited" to "open carry prohibited" due to the work of a local activist. Parks are not on the statutory off-limits areas for concealed carry, and local governments cannot pre-empt that law, so Jefferson County cannot ban concealed carry.
