I carry to protect myself and my loved ones from the BG's. Not to solve societies problems. That said: if more carried the deterrent would only have a positive overall effect on those problems.

GFL (Georgia Firearms License)... there is no 'concealed' in this license because it also gives the holder the option to open carry AND conceal carry. Also, the GFL is not needed to keep a loaded handgun in the car for self protection and due to HB89, there are more options to GFL holders to carry at places that were once off limits, such as transit stations, local buses and trains along with restaurants that sell alcoholic drink... local and state parks too are now open.

July 1st HB89 will go into law.

In SC it is a "Concealed Weapons Permit" CWP but only applies to guns:

    (6) "Concealable weapon" means a firearm having a length of less than twelve inches measured along its greatest dimension that must be carried in a manner that is hidden from public view in normal wear of clothing except when needed for self-defense, defense of others, and the protection of real or personal property.

In New Jersey, it's called a dream or a Law Enforcement ID.

That's right, Greg. But there is no permit required to carry a folding knife and there is no limit to the length of the blade. Case law say that if it will fit in your pocket like a pocket knife it is not a concealed weapon.

Memphis Mike and I test it a lot. I've had contact with police officers while openly carrying. "What are you carrying?" or "Nice 1911" are the only comments I've had from them.
The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.
