I would rather die myself than kill my wife or one of my daughters. Beyond that, though, anyone else is fair game.

(Except, of course, if one of my loved ones was bitten by a zombie. That'd just be "doing the right thing".....)

If it was a close friend and I knew him (or her) really well then I would allow that person to kill me and I would not attempt to defend myself.

I wouldn't have a problem with some cousins and others, but immediate family, like son, daughter, wife!!! Its just me but they can kill me while I try to defuse or disarm. The others, gotta go before me. Later!

In my youth I had people that I considered to be good friends, that as I reached adult hood realized were real low life's. They stole, abused booze and drugs, were just plain donkey rear ends to those they did not know.

So you really need to go into the character of the "good friend" part before you can say what you would do. First action would of coarse to try and talk them down, even though you cannot reason with a drunk or someone on drugs, you would still try and find a spark of human left in their being or other option prior to using a force of last resort.

If one of my immediate family members tried to kill me, I suppose I would take some chances that I wouldn't with a stranger, but in the end, I'm #1.

There are a few whom I would sacrifice my life for in trying to defuse such a situation, but the list is very short. (Immediate family, one or maybe two others.)

Beyond that list, once the shoot/no shoot decision is forced upon me, their identity ceases to be part of the equation.
