Another, Got my FL CCW - 44 days.

I know theres a million threads just like this, but I just got my CCW permit in the mail today! Yesterday was Memorial day so there was no mail. It took a full 6 weeks and 2 days. (44 days or so)
I submited my prints electronically in Alachua County, just to let all the other Floridians know what the turn around time is.

I don't need to go to walmart yet, so I'll do the walk tomorrow before I go to the range and celebrate!

    Great feeling.

Thanks guy, I've been reading up on the forums and researching carry guns for nearly 2 years now. It's been a wealth of information and I'm thankful I have this privilege and the responsibility of carrying.

Yes I'm always especially aware of the characters we have here in Gainesville. I don't think I can go one week without someone shady coming up to me and asking me for money, some just don't take no for an answer.

On a different note, I've been sitting in my computer chair with my Kahr at 3:00 in a Desantis Cozy Partner.. and the left side of my lower back is absolutely killing me... i think IWB is not for me.. or maybe i'm just not wearing this right.

congrats. I think mine took about the same time (a bit more then a month), but that was last year. My wife's did take a bit longer because they messed up her first set of fingerprints (even though they took them electronically). For all Floridians: Its worth it to get electronic fingerprints, even if you need to go a bit further (e.g. in Jacksonville, you likely have to go downtown. The substations only do old fashioned ink fingerprints). Electronic fingerprints can shave a few weeks off your processing time.

Congrats! Great to know I have a fellow CCW in the area. I'm in Levy county and drive by the Archer Wallmart every day. I did my first carry in the chiefland store tho. ;)
