This is a bit different.
A lady friend of mine came over the other day while I was working out so I was in my work out clothes. After a while, she asked to use the bathroom. Since I wouldn’t send a BG into my kid’s bathroom, I let her use the one in my bedroom. When she came out, she noticed my pants hanging on the hook behind the bedroom door. She called me over.
“What is that? Is that a holster? Do you carry a concealed gun?”
“All the time?”
“Every time we have gone out.”
“But, but, but, I have hugged you.”
“Yes, you did.”
“I never noticed. But, but, but, why do you feel the need to carry a gun with you? Aren’t you a little paranoid?” ( Why does that always come up???)
I took her over to my computer and brought up a few of the YouTube videos of armed robberies.
She is not anti-gun, but neither is she pro-gun. I have offered to take her shooting and now I think she might take me up on it.

If you don't want your girlfriend to know you must keep your pants on.
Yoda, I am, yes.
well I guess it is good to figure out where she stands now, while she is only a girlfriend...either worth investing more time or she isn't...no time like the present right?
--people ask why I carry, and I show them this picture. I think it says it all.--

A famous Mae West quip, “Is that a gun in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?”, is often varied to “Is that a banana in your pocket…” She made this remark in February 1936, at the train station in Los Angeles upon her return from Chicago, when a Los Angeles police officer was assigned to escort her home. She first delivered the line on film in She Done Him Wrong, and again to George Hamilton in her last movie, Sextette. It is one of the most quoted lines in movie history.

"If I walk in the woods, I feel much more comfortable carrying a gun. What if you meet a bear in the woods that's going to attack you? You shoot it."
Well, every person that gets "converted", and understands why we carry, is great!

"I have always known you as an intelligent guy. You feel the need to walk around armed. I have always assumed that the world is a safe place, and bad things only happen to other people. You are prepared for bad things to happen to you. I travel with you. If bad things could happen to you, then bad things could happen to me. Let me try and pull the covers over my head by trying to convince myself that I was wrong and you're not the intelligent guy I've always known. I'd prefer to feel safe than be safe."
"Those who beat their guns into plowshares will plow for those who didn't." -- Thomas Jefferson
Just don't tell her about the pepper spray incident.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.
Ha, ha, ha... rofl....
I decided about the 3rd or 4th date with a woman.... "uh, I want to let you know.... that I do carry a gun on me ". This shouldn't totally be a surprise because she knows what I used to do long ago.
She said, "you have a conceal carry license ?"... "do you have a gun on you now ". I said "yes"..... I LOVED HER RESPONSE>>>>> she said : "oh good, I was worried and trying to figure out how to tell you that I carry one " and pulled up her shirt some .... to show her IWB holster & gun she had on. Her next comment, "yeah, I carry because I don't plan to be a victim". We spent most of the rest of the evening discussing... guns.
I never would have guessed it. But, I was sure glad to find we had another common interest. She went up 10 notches in my book at that moment.
Well that begs the question......does she still like ya?
If so, is the lady friend gonna be accepting of your carrying or is she going to wanna 'change' you?

If only the militia can be armed, will the government pick the loyalists or the patriots?
Was it our Founding Fathers intent to let someone like King George pick who can be a militia?
