An extra power magazine spring will probably help with that problem also.
I would not fiddle with the extractor tension just yet.
Also when you change to extra power mag springs switch to a real slippery friction cutting gun grease on your rails rather than oil.
Your exact problem is why Colt added that strange raised dimple on their Colt magazines with flat followers - to help prevent the magazine from letting that "last round up" get released too early.
I wouldn't do anything more than add mag springs and use grease until you have shot your pistol in some more.

I have one of those (3" Kimber Ultra's)...great gun, never a problem with it...it's my EDC.
The last Blood Moon Tetrad for this millennium starts in April 2014 and ends in September 2015...according to NASA.
