Taste of CA Law enforcement interaction
Yesterday I was on my way home from work driving my wife's Honda Accord. I commute about 22 miles across a mountain canyon river drainage. I was anxious to get home to witness my son's HS graduation. At 4:00 pm I rounded a sharp corner I notice a BIG truck coming and braking into the corner his low bed trailer was in my lane every bit of 3 feet of more. Needless to say, on a narrow canyon road I skidded in to the low bed and nearly totaled the car. I called HP to take a report. I was carrying and 45 ACP was concealed IWB on my belt under shirt. The officer asked for license & registration. I handed him my Dl and CCW upon which I informed him had a loaded gun on me and was licensed to carry it. he asked where the gun was and I informed him it was on my belt under shirt @ 4:00. he asked why I carried. Huh? I said for personal protection. that was the end of the interaction regarding my gun. It seemed like a bit of a strange question but I post it here for a taste of California.
