My check was cashed 4/14. Looks like only a few days to go.

back from my walmart trip, got some practice ammo, me and the kids ate pizza (no nachos available), Got some ummm "wider" pants
I did notice that with my hoslter and location i carry sitting down tends to make the grip stick out a bit much. Other than that the first person i passed after getting out of my truck was a mom with two little girls. First thought was i bet she has no idea there is some guy with a gun walking by her right now. For sure was more aware of what others were doing and looking at. All and all a good trip

Congrats! It's funny how much you think about it at first. Then after a few years it's just a part of you. Not that you become lazy and careless, its just that concealment, awareness and caution become second nature.
Just remember, in Utah if anyone accidentally sees your concealed carry (taking out wallet, getting out of car, etc.) you can get in trouble for "harassment." I haven't met anyone who has actually gotten in trouble for it, but it's in the books.

i will keep that in mind when i go to Utah. Don't think missouri has that on the books it is more brandishing that gets you in trouble

Congrats !!!
It is amazing on your first carry how aware you are of your surroundings. I felt the same way on my first carry.
Stay safe !

It for sure was worth the wait, amazing how short the time period seems after you get the permit and how long it seems when you are waiting for it

I checked with the Utah department that processes applications and was told that I would have to take the training course from a Utah instructor. Is there is another way to get the training without travelling to Utah?

It may be in the books but it is not the norm. utah is an open carry state.
do what you can with what you have where you are at (theodore roosevelt)
