Oh wow - very tough scenario. Nobody knows what actually happened but Mr. Fish. With the evidence about their characters, I'm surprised that the jury delivered a guilty verdict. Lots of anti-gun sentiment voiced by the jurors. Caliber or weapon, hollow point bullets (who DOESN"T carry them for defensive rounds?). Lots of conjecture and theorizing. I can see how quickly this case can become distorted and twisted.
I carry a Glock 30 SF because I want the stopping power. The jurors even questioned why he didn't try to hit the other guy with the gun instead of shooting him, since it was made of metal...? HUH???!!!
I went up to .45 cal because of all the stories I've read of 9mm NOT stopping BG's, especially drug-affected types. I want something that's going to drop somebody and not let them keep coming with a knife or other weapon.
This is very unsettling story. Lots to think about. I hope Mr. Fish can get off on appeal.
