Cargo type shorts/which have deep pockets?

I wear 5.11 shorts nearly year-round...I can put my Kimber, Glock, or S&W (when I would rarely pocket carry) in my 5.11's...I can't imagine what wouldn't fit>>>>

I still think that IWB carry with a loose T-shirt is the safest and quickest retrival for CCW...OMO

You basically have to try them on w/ your gun. I just did this at a store called Platos Closet, they sell gently used clothing. It is for a more younger crowd, but brands such as hollister, american eagle, etc. all have cargo shorts. Good luck

I always just try them on with the gun when buying any type of clothes for CCW. Pocket depth and opening width are important for pocket carry.

I have some JCPenny Arizona brand cargos with zippered side pockets, cargo pockets, and very deep front pockets. It's kind of hit and miss, but there is usually a wide selection. Only problem is, everytime I go in to buy shorts anywhere when summer hits, they have pants and back to school stuff in already!

Just got back from Kohls. These cargo pants rule the roost when it comes to pocket carry ( which I'm not crazy about, but the option is there ). They are made by Columbia. They are "Cliff Lakes ll shorts.
The regular pocket goes all the way behind the cargo pocket. I've never found any pants I can properly pocket carry even my 642 in without the grip peeking out from the pocket. To demonstrate , in the first picture I have a gun in the pocket, in the second picture you can see it's a 38 with a 4 inch barrel. WOW! Now I certainly wouldn't pocket carry this gun, but it proves the point quite well.
These shorts have the adjustable waistband and a third pocket behind the regular pocket on the right side. These are a ccw holders dream. They were on sale for $25.00, down from $35.00 I believe.
A little pricey, but they fit the bill.

Thanks for the heads up. I picked up a pair today. Hmm, I wonder if Mika would make a pocket holster for a full-size M&P .45?? I'm sure that it would fit and be invisible in those shorts.

I do not pocket carry as my main CC option, but I do like having the dfeep pockets on my cargo shorts in order to carry the other essentials. OC, phone, folder, what have you, those deep pockets open up options for guys like me who tend to have slightly longer arms. I'm 6'0" 185lbs but I have arms like a damn monkey!!
