Only took 100 days...
...But it looks like my home state's finally decided I'm aight to carry. Three lessons I've learned.
1) The electronic fingerprint deal takes off almost 60 days, apparently. Florida folks, take not of this!
2) Make sure the law enforcement agency that stamps the fingerprints if you do 'em on paper stamps where the state wants them to stamp 'em. Like, you know, on the back in a corner.
2-b) It's acceptable for said law enforcement agency, to spite the bureaucrats, stamp the fingerprint card several times in several spots. :hand10:
3) Sports Authority is becoming the Wal-Mart of the sporting goods industry (didn't get to a Wal-Mart, but SA served just as well for a first outing).
Rock on.

Congratulations. It hurts to wait on beaurocrats but this is worth the wait and now you are free to roam the state protected. :danceban:

I know MANY people who have their FL CCW permit...your 100 days is not the norm...sorry about the delay...but now you're good to go (congrats on the new permit)!:hand10:
Stay armed...enjoy the sun...stay safe!

Lol...yep I know the feeling. I waited 110 for mine and that's after they rejected my first set of prints.

:35: Congrats brother!! I've had mine out and in "process" for about a month now.. I'm anxious to get mine back, but I know it's the slowest process in the evolution of time.. The answer I got on the phone is that " A record number of applications are coming in", so more time is needed.. :aargh4:

The one thing I hate about the wait is until you get the permit you can't legally carry so if you are in a situation where you would need a gun all you can do is tell the BG my permit hasn't arrived yet do you mind if we reschedule this in say a couple weeks when I will be able to respond to you're request in a more positive manner

59 days, mailbox to mailbox. Out of state and paper prints.
