Even if you could carry other weapons the sad fact is that the BG's are carrying guns. This all courtesy of mayor Bloomberg. Stay safe..

Awhile back someone posted that their friend CC into NYC. While he was at a pizzeria it got hit for a "drug raid".
He was charged w/a felony but don't know about the outcome. I figure even if he didn't do any time he won't be allowed to carry.
My point: It's just not worth it!

Not even Michael Moore's bodyguard is allowed to concealed carry there.

In NYC, you may carry a folding knife under 4" blade length.
Pepper spray is also allowed.

Get yourself a can of Pepper spray and a good pocket knife. Anything else you're gonna get collared by NY's Finest. OOh the only spray you are allowed to carry (if your not a leo) is the ones sold at gun stores.
Or you can hire me as your bodyguard
One more step and it's on!

+1 the only things I would add is that NY has a "concentration" limit on OC (don't remember it off the top of my head)...so you should look that up before you go. I believe that it precludes the use of the better sprays like FOX et al. Further, the knife MUST be concealed to be legal...If the clip is showing then it is not considered concealed. Put it in your pocket, or IWB under your shirt but don't let it show....yeah...NYC laws are

After watching the Tony awards Sunday my wife wants to go back to NY to see some shows, and I responded with “I’d love to”. Then I got to thinking; Humm, I no longer working for the Fed’s and only have a Florida CCL, soooo I can no longer carry there.
So the next morning, I had to advised her, I won’t spend my money there until the Supreme court Washington DC case is settled, and states have to allow CCL or national CCL carry is passed.
And for me that’s a bummer. I like visiting Boston, NY, Chicago, San Francisco, and Napa, along with a bunch of other cities along the western seashore. But I am not going unarmed.
So the way I see it is until they accept other states CCL, then they don’t want tourist from those states.

I know how you feel...I feel the same way. ...on the bright side at least you can get a non-resident permit if you like Boston
