    Smile Very Positive L.E.O. encounter

After involvement in a minor traffic accident, rear ended, a Deputy Sheriff responded. When he approached, I informed him after a friendly hello that I had a License for a Concealed Pistol and that I was armed. He stated "that's fine." He than asked for my Driver License, insurance papers and registration." I asked if he needed my concealed license and "no" was the answer. The way it should be. No disarming or any of the other stuff I read about in other states.

GREAT!! Most of the LEO's I have dealt with in the UP have been great.

Yooper Troopers were always very professional, reasonable, but could take care of business very quickly if the situation needed it...OMO

I guess his logic was that if you were a murderous criminal bent on mayhem you wouldn't have informed him about the concealed weapon.

It's a State Law that I inform immediately.
