    Thanks in advance.
Texas State Rifle Assoc (TSRA). They helped get the laws passed.

There's also a Texas forum, TexasCHLforum.com The owner of the site, Charles Cotton, is a lawyer & board member of the NRA. He's a solid guy & great resource to have.

I just found the post, but will insert my .02 too. The CHL issue has been covered, but when you decide to apply for your Texas license get in touch with Reborn or me if you like. We are both instructors and have a private range just outside Dallas where we not only do CHL, but also defensive and tactical. Places to maybe live ... you will want to also consider Rockwall maybe Rowlett as well as Allen, Plano, Frisco...etc etc. And yes there is also several statewide groups that underwrite and support our CHL activities. Good luck in your upcoming move, we look forward to have a new Texan here with us.

I think your best bet will be, as far as I know, DFW Gun Range (DFW Gun Range, Training Center and Retail Firearms Store) or The Adrenaline Proving Grounds (http://www.apgtraining.com/).

If anyone else knows of other places I too would love to know.

Does AGP actually answer the phone and/or emails? I have tried 2 dozen times easily to do one or the other to ask some questions and I've never gotten ahold of anyone...

No clue, I have not attempted to contact them for anything yet, just heard good things about their training.

I'll second many of the others that recommend Lewisville/Flower Mound/Highland Village area. They're all in Denton County, so you don't have to deal with the BS associated with Dallas County. Also, x2 on the TexasCHLforum.com website.

    Cheers!
