It is a license to carry a firearm openly or concealed. Georgia does not issue concealed only permits or licenses.

I've talked to several people about this issue. Just about everyone thought it sounded rediculous.
One of the people I talked to was a Cobb County Police officer...As well he told me that my license was not good to carry. I showed him my license (identical to the one pictured here Firearm License Section on GeorgiaPacking.org) and he told me it was good for absolutely nothing....
So I guess that many police officers don't know the laws about carrying. If I am packing and get pulled over, what is my best option if I am lucky enough to get pulled over by a cop who thinks that I am carrying illegally? Should I ask him to call a supervisor out or what?
I've looked all over message boards and web pages, and it seems like I'm not the only person to come across this problem....
