    I usually carry IWB and none of those have straps. The shoulder and ankle holsters do, as do almost all of my OWB. But I don't normally CC OWB. Those are mainly for hunting and range time.

    The only time I use a retention strap holster is when I'm in the field hunting in underbrush, haven't done that in several years though. For concealed carry, no I never use them and none of my carry holsters have them. A well made holster has plenty of retention because of the detailed moulding. I'm not jumping out of planes or anything like that where added retention might be required.

    Since I pocket carry, of course not, but sometimes I do with OWB.
