It's up to the company to decide, not the government. The government has no business mandating what a private company allows or disallows their employees to possess as a matter of a condition of employment. Our 2A does not trump private property rights. The 2A is against governments, not private entities or individuals. Flame on.

You're right to an extent, but I don't think they have any business telling its employees whether they can keep them in their cars.

Maybe it needs to be. People need to think about the consequences of their actions.

Can an employee that says it will fire me because I have a gun in the car guarantee my safety when I leave their parking lot?

No they cant and they dont care.

That is what I have a problem with.

Also, what gives an employer the right to go through my vehichle on demand?? If I refuse, I will be terminated on the spot!! If there is no offsite parking what do you do? I don't think I should wave my constitutional rights to be able to go to work, do you??

My point being that kicking a dead horse in this forum is not going to accomplish anything. For the most part, as you should well know, you're preaching to the choir here. My reference to the other thread was only made in an attempt to keep the redundancy down.

I think we should go after the ACLU, they are infighting about Heller right now. Hit them in as many public forums including their own about how do they stand on the Sotomeyer case. At best it forces a change in stace, at worst it exposes them as hypocrites to the US. This also looks like it could turn into a good RKBA case for bear and 14th inclusion.

Sounds to me like he is doing the right thing by challenging Disney now under Florida new law.

I hope the NRA are sporting his legal fees.

So when I park my car in your property, does it become your vehicle ?

And that is the quid of the issue. Parking lot is your property but my car is mine.

The ACLU's 2A position has always been the "collective right" view. I recently checked the ACLU website to see if Heller changed their position. It did not, they disagree with the Supreme Court ruling.

The vote on the subject poll is now 94% yes.
