~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A man accidentally shot himself in the leg Friday evening in the Wal-Mart on Pensacola Boulevard south of West Nine Mile Road, authorities said.
The Escambia County Sheriff's Office responded to the store about 9:20 p.m.
The man, whose identity was not available Friday evening, had a concealed-weapon permit, and the weapon accidentally discharged, a Sheriff's Office dispatch supervisor said.
The man was transported to West Florida Hospital.
The extent of his injuries was not available Friday evening.
Wal-Mart officials would not confirm that a shooting occurred in the store and referred all questions to the company's home office in Arkansas.
No the firearms just going off by itself is hard to believe. I am sure some human error was involved.
And you can see by reading some of the comments. (below)
WHY carrying a firearm out in public is a great responsibility.
You have a responsiblity to all other legal defensive carry people to carry your safely and not goof around and fidgit with it.
Thank You Dr. Jekyll, for helping make the point I have been saying forever.
We (the public at large) cannot be trusted to drive to Mickey D's for a Big Mac without fastening our seatbelts for fear that we could potentially kill each other with head-on collisions, rollovers, etc.
But the same public at large should be trusted to carry hand-cannons into WallyWorld, no questions asked because of an obsolete, outdated amendment says so.
Makes no sense, never will. I.Q. TESTING FOR CWPs!!!!
*************************************
Who are the NUTS, the dummies carrying around a weapon who cannot go to WallyWorld without discharging their weapon, or the people scared of getting shot by the dummies carrying around weapons in WallyWorld???
Einsteins like this winner (at least he shot himself, and not an innocent bystander--karma maybe)make my point exactly.
The general public cannot be trusted to carry weapons.
***************************************
FINALLY--a solution has presented itself.
COMMON SENSE AND I.Q. TESTS by an objective observer. (not their Uncle Bo)
The joke of a gun safety class required to get a CWP is not near enough.
If you want to carry around hand-cannons, you have to prove you are smarter than the average bear, and this dummy who shot himself in WallyWorld would have failed miserably!!!
Dummies like this make it too easy to make fun of all you GUN NUTS!! LOL!! TOO FUNNY!!!!
************************************
That's a good question. Whether or not the answer will be forthcoming is now doubtful after the authorities refused to provide any details in the earlier accidental shooting.
We shall have to wait and see if either Walmart, the authorities (sheriff's department), or the News Journal will want to shed any light on this.
"omgwtfnoway" is my sentiments exactly.
It's starting to look like we've got some really thoughtless people in possession of these guns.
Both the animals who want to rob and kill us, AND ourselves too.
Just more evidence that this country and it's people are on the road to decline.
So why is it when someone get in an accidental car accident we do not see remarks about how anybody can get a car without a background check or license. I know I am preaching to the choir but this kind of stuff really pisses me off.
