If you don't have a permit, don't test it. I had an officer tell me that keeping a pistol in the original case with big ole "HK" on it is still concealed. Just because the package indicates the contents doesn't mean the contents aren't hidden (actually now that I think about it, it DOES mean that the contents aren't hidden, you'd have to be a major league ******* to book a guy for that). Either way, I've heard a cop explain his interpretation whether I liked it or not.
