If it were illegal, would you still carry?

Take this hypothetical situation: you live in a state or country where concealed carry is illegal and moving is not an option (for whatever reason) for, say, another 5 or 6 years.

Would you carry or would you just rely on your cunning, awareness & avoidance skills, verbal skills, feet, and fists (and flashlights) for self protection?

    Why?

This is all, of course, purely hypothetical and theoretical and under no circumstance do I advocate crime (carrying anything illegal).

I retired from the State Police after having carried a firearm both on and off duty for nearly thirty years. This is what worked for me and how I personally approached the problem:

Until my home state implemented its CCW law several years later, I NEVER carried again despite the PROBABILITY that I COULD have done so without penalty due to my previous law enforcement connections.

Once it became LEGAL, however, I resumed the practice of regularly arming myself and INTEND to do so for the remainder of my days.

Had to vote other. Need to stay "legal" but would at least keep one in the home.

    Absolutely not.

That's the difference between law-abiding citizens and the BG's. By definition, we obey the law.
