As far as I know, I qualify. Not the gun. So I can carry any gun I want. Mine or someone else's. However, if I had some one else's gun, there may some 'splaining to do.
(The one thing I do not like about Oregon is there is no castle doctrine. Failed in the last legislature. I won't even get into politics.

In Utah we do not have to list of qualify with any firearm. So we can carry what we want.

In Virginia, as long as you have a valid permit, it doesn't matter what gun you have with you, or if it is yours. As long as you are in lawful possession of it. There are times I will carry one of my wifes guns, just because I want to carry something different. Before I get flamed for that statement, I shoot both hers and mine regularly, so I am proficient with them, and I have function tested them all with carry ammo.

That's true. You (legally, not practically) can't even use someone else's at the range to try it out!
As for the OP, you might want to check here: Pennsylvania CCW Concealed Carry Hand Gun Legal Info, or call the local sheriff's office or state police.

CA is the same, you can only CCW what is listed on your permit. You can list multiple firearms though. Only thing is then big brother knows what you got at home so it's a losing endeavor. I hate it.

TN you can carry any gun you legaly own. No specific type/caliber on your permit just as long as you own it and it can be traced back to you (atleast thats what I was told).

As far as Florida goes, bowie knife, auto knife, sap, handgun other than a machinegun & you are good to go....license reads "concealed WEAPON" not firearm or pistol.

I have a PA non resident which I got "mail order", I can carry any handgun on it. They have no record of what guns I have, or don't have.
"Gun Free Zones" is where only criminals carry guns.

YMMV, but I don't see why you couldn't carry it provided that the gun doesn't come up stolen if the police were to run the numbers. I don't worry about it in GA because we don't have any registration other than the forms you have to fill out at a gun shop and I carry firearms all the the time bought by me in legal private sales.

So if I am carrying a pistol I bought legally through a private sale when I come through TN, which I do a few times a year, I am breaking the law?
Why Ike, whatever do you mean? Maybe poker's just not your game Ike. I know! Let's have a spelling contest!

I simply don't understand states that don't require some type of education before receiving a permit to carry a handgun. It is very important that you understand the laws of your state and assuming the individual will educate themselves is simply crazy. Please get a copy of the laws, learn them and I suggest carrying a copy with you in your vehicle.
